Hybrid Hackathon

You can choose to participate either online or in person! This format allows international teams to participate as well.

We've structured the hackathon into two phases:

Day 1: Hack Day

When: October 1st, 8:30 AM - 17:00 (CET)

In-person: Join us at Ersta Conference Center, one of Stockholm's most beautiful venues with a breathtaking view.

Online: Participate from anywhere in the world

At the end of Day 1, all teams submit a demo video showcasing their project.

Day 2: Team Presentation Finale

We'll select the 5-7 best teams to present their solutions to our jury featuring tech executives from the Nordic region's leading companies.

When: October 2nd, 16.30 PM - 20:30 (CET)

In-Person: Telia HQ, Stjärntorget 1, 169 79 Solna

Online: Participate from anywhere in the world

The Game-Changing Tech We Are Exploring

In this hackathon we will explore how to build reliable, scalable and fail-proof workflows using Temporal. 

Unlike traditional approaches that rely on a fragile mix of databases, message queues, and custom error-handling code, Temporal provides a different paradigm by treating reliability as a built-in feature. This allows developers to focus on writing clear business logic, while the platform automatically handles the complexities of state persistence, fault tolerance, and retries.

Temporal workflows can run for seconds or years, automatically resuming from the exact point of interruption without losing state, making infrastructure crashes and transient errors manageable by default. This native durability, combined with a complete execution history for deep observability and integrated testing tools, enables enterprises to build and ship resilient, business-critical applications with significantly greater speed and confidence.

The Challenge

You will be trained and challenged to build a failproof high-volume workflow that never loses state. Here are some examples of workflows to build financial transactions, order-to-delivery, e-commerce content enhancement, AI-chat, cross-channel conversations and CI/CD pipelines.

Cillers will review all demos and select finalists.

Oct 2nd 11:30: Announcement of finalists on Discord. 

Oct 2nd: 17.10 - 20.30: In-person/online event: Team Presentations, Award Ceremony, Celebration Dinner.
