Why Should Your Company Participate?

  • Receive a Custom-Built Prototype: A dedicated team of motivated developers will focus exclusively on solving your challenge and building an initial prototype.

  • Experience What’s Possible! There is no better way to grow both professionally and personally than through hackathons. It’s a unique learning opportunity where you'll collaborate closely with developers, gain hands-on experience with game-changing capabilities, and witness an idea transform into a prototype in just a few days.

  • From Prototype to Funded Product: Through our partnership with major cloud providers, there's a unique opportunity to secure funding to develop the prototype into a full Proof of Concept (PoC) or even a complete product after the hackathon.

The Process: From Idea to Prototype

  1. Submission: You formulate and submit a mission-critical challenge you want to solve.

  2. Matching: We match your challenge with a development team.

  3. Collaboration: You will work in a "collaborative squad" with the team. Your engagement ensures the solution is relevant, targeted, and impactful. (See commitment levels below).

  4. Finals & Demo: If your team reaches the Grand Finale, you will present the challenge for 1 - 2 minutes, and the team will demo their solution to the jury.

How to Structure Your Hackathon Project Idea

Submitting an idea is straightforward. We recommend structuring your idea around these three points. Don't worry about having all the answers – this is just a starting point for our conversation!

1. The Mission-Critical Process You Want To Optimize

Briefly describe the process you want to optimize and explain why it is critical to your business success.

2. What is working suboptimally today?

Describe the key bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or manual steps that negatively impact this business-critical process.

3. The Vision for a Solution

You don't need a ready-made solution—that's what the hackathon is for! Here you can share your vision or initial ideas. In your own words, what would a successful outcome look like?

Your Commitment: Two Levels of Engagement

To accommodate your schedule, we have defined two flexible levels of engagement:

Level 1:

  • Kick-off Meeting (1 hour): An online meeting where you present the challenge to your team. You will explain why it is business-critical, the current suboptimalities, and your vision for a solution. This is a crucial meeting to establish a shared goal.

  • Availability for Key Decisions: Be available to answer a few critical questions. Your input will only be requested at decisive moments to ensure the team stays aligned with your strategic vision.

Level 2: (Recommended!)

  • In addition to the kick-off, you participate in several check-ins to guide the team and ensure the prototype aligns with your business goals.

  • Presence on Hack Day. You join as an integrated part of the team, either in-person or online. This provides unparalleled insight and almost always leads to a better outcome. We highly recommend this for an unforgettable and high-value experience.

Mandatory:

If your team advances to the Grand Finale on December 4th, your participation is required (in-person or online). Before the team's demo, you will have 1-2 minutes on stage to provide context for your challenge to the jury—explaining why it is critical and what the vision was.

The Support You'll Receive

Your role is to be the business expert. Our role is to provide all the support you need to succeed.

  • No Technical Expertise Required: Your strength is your domain knowledge of the business-critical process. You do not need any background in coding or product development.

  • Dedicated Support from Cillers: We at Cillers are available for all your questions via phone, email, and bookable online meetings.

  • Best Practice Training: We offer online training where we share winning methodologies for collaborating effectively with development teams to create game-changing products.
